WHIVE Commons Advocacy Network

Help Shape the Future of Women's Health

Real change happens when healthcare professionals, patients, researchers, advocates, and community members work together to influence the policies that shape healthcare.

The WHIVE Commons Advocacy Network is a growing community of individuals committed to improving maternal and reproductive health through policy and systems change. Members receive opportunities to participate in advocacy campaigns, provide feedback on proposed legislation, share lived experiences, contribute to policy recommendations, and help advance evidence-informed solutions that improve healthcare for women and families.

Whether you have lived experience, clinical expertise, research knowledge, or simply care about advancing women's health, your voice can help create meaningful change.

Current Advocacy Priorities

Our advocacy efforts focus on advancing policies that improve maternal and reproductive healthcare, including:

  • Expanding insurance coverage for fertility preservation, including for individuals with non-cancer diagnoses such as aggressive fibroids and endometriosis.

  • Improving maternal health coverage and access to comprehensive prenatal, childbirth, and postpartum care.

  • Strengthening the maternal healthcare workforce by reducing burnout and supporting healthcare provider wellbeing.

  • Increasing women's representation in healthcare leadership and decision-making.

  • Advancing equitable access to reproductive healthcare for underserved communities.

  • Supporting evidence-based maternal health policies that improve health outcomes and reduce disparities.

As new priorities emerge, members will have opportunities to help shape WHIVE Commons' advocacy agenda.
